Description |
Lauryl Sulfate with MUG Broth is used for MPN Presumptive Test of coliforms and E. coli in water and sewage, confirmatory test of lactose fermentation with gas production for milk and detection of coliforms and E. coli in food. The high nutrient quality and the presence of phosphate buffer in this medium ensures rapid growth and increased gas production, even of low lactose-fermenting coliforms. The presence of E. coli is indicated by a light blue fluorescence when the growth is observed under UV light. |
