Product Name G Protein-Coupled Receptor GPR2/CCR10
Catalogue No. CM525565
Description GPR2/CCR10, a Chemokine Receptor, encodes a protein that most closely resembles the interleukin-8 receptor. The keratinocyte-produced chemokine CCL27 activates CCR10 and is involved in T cell-mediated skin inflammation. GRP2/CCR10 has been reported to be ubiquitously expressed. Transcripts for this receptor have been identified in peripheral tissues including adult small intestine and fetal liver, testis, placenta, and skin. In the skin, this receptor is constitutively expressed in melanocytes, fibroblasts, and microvascular endothelial cells. It is also detected in T cells, Langerhans cells, and peripheral blood mononuclear cells but not in keratinocytes (Homey et al., 2000), dendritic cells, or in various brain regions (Marchese et al., 1994). ESTs have been isolated from brain, eye, and kidney libraries.
